COMMUNITY
Being homeschooled for almost all of my elementary school years, community has been my way to connect to people and try to contribute to something much bigger than me.

Golden Gate Young Marines
Since 2024, I have been a proud member of the Golden Gate Young Marines. Starting as a recruit, I learned the value of discipline, respect, honor and responsibility along with other Young Marines and I have become a better person because of it. I know the skills I have learned about attention to detail, restraint, and being calm in the face of extreme challenge will help me in the future face any obstacle that may come my way.

ROWING
I am so proud to be on the NORCAL Women's U15 rowing team this year! I have been rowing since the age of 9 and love being part of a group of people who 'breathe as one'. Rowing has taught me so much about resilience and hard work and I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity. Previously I had spent a semester in Orange County and rowed with Newport Seabase Middle School as well as Pacific Rowing in SF.

Cello
Since the age of 5, I have been playing the cello. I have played at the Young People's Chamber Orchestra in Berkeley and now am an accompanying cellist for a local Indian music school that specializes in Mukti - or spiritual Hindu- music. I am not Hindu or have Indian origin, but I love how I can learn about different cultures and connect through my love of music.
Kyle J. Taylor
I volunteer for the Kyle J. Taylor Organization which gives free heart and blood pressure monitoring to young athletes in the community. This is a very special cause for me and connects my love of science, sport and community.

YMCA Model UN
Current affairs and world harmony mean alot to me especially because I am of mixed race background and have family from all corners of the Earth! I am active in my local YMCA Model UN and love debating with others about how to make the world a better place!

Scouts- Francais!
I love being part of the French Scouts group in the Bay Area! Not only do I get to meet other french speaking kids, but I also get to learn alot about nature and scouting. There are deep Catholic roots to the group, and even though I am not Catholic, I really enjoy learning about different religions and backgrounds. I think the more we immerse ourselves in other peoples environments, the more we understand them and develop empathy.
